Today @EagleLifeChurch, we continue our summer sermon series, “More to the Story.”

In this 13-week sermon series, you will learn the message behind the parables of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. We will read one of Jesus’ parables each week, consider its context, and apply the lesson to our lives.

And when he was alone, those around him with the twelve asked him about the parables. ¹¹And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, ¹²so that

“ ‘they may indeed see but not perceive,
and may indeed hear but not understand,
lest they should turn and be forgiven.’ ”

Today, we shine light on the parable of the Ten Virgins and what it means to be ready when the bridegroom comes at midnight.

This parable asks the question, “Are you ready?”
