We are compelled by God’s LOVE and the FREEDOM offered in Jesus to infuse our relationships with the mind of Christ. As the Spirit of God directs our life, we take on the CHARACTER of the Spirit. This Fall we will ask God to INFUSE in us the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control of Christ through the Holy Spirit!

Good Fruit Grows from a Good Tree
Many Christians and other well meaning people read scripture, or hear a sermon about the Fruit of the Spirit and decide that they are going to make good fruit. The open a production facility in their life and work as hard as possible on manufacturing love, joy, peace, and the other Fruit of the Spirit. The problem is that manufactured fruit is plastic. It has no nutrition and the people who try to enjoy it are sadly disappointed. The truth is that real fruit is grown. It’s not made. Real fruit is grown on a real tree, growing in good soil, cultivated to have deep roots.
The key to growing good fruit is to focus on sowing the correct seeds, encouraging strong roots, and composting good soil. Then good fruit will grow. For those who focus on manufacturing fruit, when the times of trouble come, they will lose everything they think they have.
