Week 1 – Return to Me
DIGITAL BULLETIN 01 January 2022
In this message, Pastor Brad begins the @EagleLifeChurch series “Return to Me” from the last book of the Old Testament. In this series, you will start 2023 with faith to return to God in love, worship, faith, family, humility, justice, and blessing.
In this sermon, you learn how God loves you and how people can often blame God for their own waywardness from His love.
Join us as we return to God and pray for an awakening in our generation.

“From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’”Malachi 3:7 (ESV, emphasis added)

Return to Love
SCRIPTURE: Malachi 1:1-5; Revelation 2:2-5; Luke 14:26-33 (ESV)
The oracle of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi.
2 “I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say, “How have you loved us?” “Is not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I have loved Jacob 3 but Esau I have hated. I have laid waste his hill country and left his heritage to jackals of the desert.” 4 If Edom says, “We are shattered but we will rebuild the ruins,” the Lord of hosts says, “They may build, but I will tear down, and they will be called ‘the wicked country,’ and ‘the people with whom the Lord is angry forever.’ ” 5 Your own eyes shall see this, and you shall say, “Great is the Lord beyond the border of Israel!”Malachi 1:1-5 (ESV)
- The LOVE of God
- The HATE of God
- The FAME of God
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31 Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. 33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.Luke 14:26-33 (ESV)
