How to Enter the House of God

SCRIPTURE: Exodus 30:17-21, 38:8; James 1:23-25; Ephesians 5:25-33; 1 John 1:9; Romans 6:3-5 (1-14); 2 Timothy 2:20-21; 2 Corinthians 4:7; John 13:1-10 (ESV)

The Lord said to Moses, ¹⁸ “You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its stand of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it, ¹⁹ with which Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins (bronze altar), and cleans us from all unrighteousness (bronze basin).

You Are a Priest in the Kingdom

…The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: ⁴ ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. ⁵ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; ⁶ and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”
