Is That Your Final Answer?

September 3, 2023 by Brad Murphy

More to the Story. Uncovering the meaning of Jesus' parables.

This sermon is part 11 of 13 in the More to the Story

Week 13 – More the Story

SERMON 03 September 2023, 10:30 a.m.

More to the Story. Uncovering the meaning of Jesus' parables.
And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables” – Mark 4:11

Today @EagleLifeChurch, we continue our summer sermon series, “More to the Story.”

In this 13-week sermon series, you will learn the message behind the parables of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. We will read one of Jesus’ parables each week, consider its context, and apply the lesson to our lives.

And when he was alone, those around him with the twelve asked him about the parables. 11 And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, 12 so that

“ ‘they may indeed see but not perceive,
and may indeed hear but not understand,
lest they should turn and be forgiven.’ ”

Mark 4:10-12 (ESV)

Today, we work to understand the payout from the story of The Laborers in the Vineyard.

This parable asks the question, “Is That Your Final Answer?”
