Week 1, EASTER – Living Hope Series

Today @EagleLifeChurch, we start a new series-of-sermons called “Living Hope.”
This is week one in the 9-week series. This series will focus on experiencing HOPE in the midst of life’s difficulties and struggles. In our culture, people are subjected to (surrounded by) dying hope. Hope has been replaced with hurt, abuse, trauma, lies, and despair.
During this series, we will learn to find our LIVING HOPE in a savior who has struggled and suffered, who has been sabotaged and betrayed, who was beaten and buried, but he claimed the final victory over dying hope by rising from the grave and inviting us to experience living hope.
In today’s sermon, Pastor Brad will help us learn to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus.

Faith in our Living Hope
SCRIPTURE: 1 Peter 1:1-12; John 3:1-17; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 (ESV)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
