Helping People, Part 2

SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 4:16; John 3:16; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 12:30-31; 1 Timothy 5:9-10; 1 Peter 4:8-11; Hebrews 13:1-2; Romans 12:9-13; Matthew 19:13-15, 18:5-6. 25:35-36; John 1:1-5; Genesis 1:1-5; Matthew 5:13-16; 2 Corinthians 4:5-6 (ESV)

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Show hospitality (philoxenia = friend stranger) to one another without grumbling. 10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:8-11 (ESV)
  1. Lavish Hospitality
  2. Brightest in the Dark

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV)

Week 13 “The Regions Beyond“

Our land of healing is secure in Jesus Christ. He fulfills God’s plan to forgive our sins and heal our land.

In this series, we will start 2021 with intercession for Healing, The Church, and Culture. This series will explore what the Bible says about (1) humbling ourselves before God, (2) praying, (3) seeking His face, and (4) turning from wicked ways.

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV), emphasis added
Read it in context, 2 Chronicles 7:11-18

In this message, we learn how to bring healing to the Regions Beyond. The Community of Healing is the global work of God. It is His plan to bring salvation to the world.

The Regions Beyond

We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be greatly enlarged, 16 so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another’s area of influence. 17 “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 10:15-17 (ESV)

We are Formed for the Regions Beyond

Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,and before you were born I consecrated you;I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:4,5 (ESV)
